Walt And Stella Hoffman Celebrate Their 50th Wedding Anniversary

May 29, 2009 By eastwickpress

On April 25, 2009, Walt and Stella Hoffman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with the renewal of their vows. The service was performed by Father Provost at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Lebanon. Richard Langue (usher), Daniel Hoffman (ring bearer) and Carol Ann Hansel (flower girl) were all part of the original ceremony in 1959 and actively participated in the renewal. In celebration of their golden anniversary Walt and Stella rode in a gold convertible to their reception, escorted by Joe Sicotte (owner/ driver) and John Klein Jr. (grandson). The reception was held at the Stephentown Fire Hall. Awaiting their arrival were two daughters, Janice Hartnett and Kathleen Klein, and their families, son-in-laws Lloyd Hartnett Jr. and John Klein Sr., grandchildren Nadina Hartnett, Rebecca Lane, Crystal Soncini and John Klein Jr. along with their great-grandson Codie Lane. To round out the celebration were 150 family and friends.
Walt and Stella met at Nancy shoe factory in Hoosick Falls where they were engaged on November 28, 1958, and married on April 25, 1959. They extend their deepest appreciation to all those who attended. A special thanks to everyone who helped in preparing for this event.
