Hazel W. Parks

Stephentown – Hazel W. Parks, 95, formerly of Chuckleberry Park in Stephentown, NY, died on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA. She had been a resident of Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield for the past six years.
Born June 26, 1913, in Loudon County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and May Seaton Sisk. Hazel was the loving wife of the late Howard E. Parks who died on November 1, 1996. They had lived in Stephentown since 1989, moving from Florida when her late husband retired from Disney World Productions in Orlando. Mrs. Parks had worked as a bookkeeper for her husband’s landscaping business in the 1970s in Chatham, NY.
Survivors include her three children, Gerald N. Parks of Mt. Victory, OH, Joan E. Loomis of Charleston, NC, and Eugene T. Ashby of Polson, Montana, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private services will take place at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of Hall & Higgins Funeral Home of Stephentown.
