The Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center will be holding “Introduction to Fishing” workshops on Sunday, June 28. These workshops coincide with New York State’s Free Fishing Days, when you may fish for free all day, without a State license. Introduction to Fishing workshops will begin at 9:30 am and 1 pm. Information on fish identification, fishing equipment and techniques and aquatic ecology will be covered. Pre-registration is not required, but calling ahead will help us better plan for the day. Dyken Pond Center is a Rensselaer County Park located in the Town of Grafton, open daily during daylight hours for hiking, fishing and non-motor boating.
