Walloomsac Fish Stocking

With the New York State trout fishing season being open, most fisherman should be having a good season due to the hard work of the conservationists pictured below. This year, as well as for the last 50 years, members of the Pioneer Fish and Game Club, the Club’s junior members and friends assisted DEC personnel stocking our local streams, in this case the Walloomsac River, with over 5,000 brown trout.
Pioneer Fish and Game Club would like to thank the landowners along the River who allow fisherman access across property to pursue their sport. Bennington Paperboard, the Hoag Farm, the Cottrell family, Hoosic Sand and Gravel and Circle C Ranch are the generous landowners along the Walloomsac.
