Catherine R. Moore

Hoosick Falls – Catherine R. Moore, 94, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center where she had resided since 2006. Formerly she had resided on Church Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was the wife of the late Elmer Moore, who died in 1974.
Born on October 18, 1914, in Hoosick Falls, Catherine was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Agnes Vosh. She attended St. Mary’s Academy and worked at the Undergarment as a seamstress. Catherine enjoyed roller skating, in her younger years, and horse racing. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include her brother Frank Vosh of Hoosick Falls and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Anna Maynard and Mary Plante, and a brother, Peter Vosh.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Thursday at 10:30 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery will follow the Mass. Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls on Thursday from 9 to 10 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice through the funeral home.
