Edward Gorman, Esq., a Hoosick Falls native, recently joined the Hoosick Falls Health Center Board of Directors.
Mr. Gorman began his legal career in 1994 as an associate with the Albany law firm of Phelan, Burke & Scolamiero, LLP where he concentrated in the areas of Civil and Criminal Litigation. His clientele included

individuals, professionals, corporations and municipalities throughout the courts of the State of New York. In 1997 Mr. Gorman became a partner in the firm of Halliday & Gorman, LLP with offices in Albany and Cooperstown, NY. His focus continued on Civil and Criminal Litigation and branched into the areas of Estate Planning, with a concentration on Elder Law issues, Estate Administration and Real Estate. In 1999, Mr. Gorman moved back to the Eastern Rensselaer County area and established the law firm of Sternberg & Gorman, LLP.
Mr. Gorman held the position of Deputy Mayor of the Village of Hoosick Falls from 2001 through 2003 and has been Village Justice for the Village of Hoosick Falls from 2003 to the present.
A graduate of Syracuse University and Albany Law School, Mr. Gorman is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York and the Courts of the State of Vermont and is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. He is a member of the Rensselaer County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Vermont Bar Association, the New York Trial Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Magistrates Association.
Mr. Gorman is married to Liesl K. Zwicklbauer, and they and their three children live in Eagle Bridge, NY.
