Recently, several students at Hoosick Falls Elementary showed they really cared. The young citizens from Mrs. Culver’s fourth grade heard about the Menands Animal Shelter break-in. Upon learning of this, they decided they had to take action. These young ladies, appropriately naming themselves C.A.R.E. (Care And Respect Everything), held a bottle and can drive to earn money to give to the shelter. When the last bottle was counted, the girls had amassed over 2,000 containers earning them around $250.00! They then visited the shelter where they brought their donations and got to see first-hand where their money would go. They had much help and contributions from the school community and parents. They wish to thank everyone who helped them surpass their goal. They are happy they could do a little to help out a worthy cause.
