Listen to the mysterious sound of the barred owl as you take a night hike at the annual Owl Prowl at the Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center. This popular event will be held on Friday evening, July 31, beginning at 7:30 pm. Melodee James and Wayne Trimm, wildlife rehabilitators and directors of the Outdoor World for Learning (OWL) present a lively and informative program on birds of prey and will bring their live birds for all to see. The evening outdoor presentation is followed by a night hike to try to persuade wild barred owls to pay a visit. There is a suggested donation of $3 per person. Please dress for the outdoors and remember to bring insect repellent and a warm layer of clothing.
Call Dyken Pond Center at 658-2055 for more information.
