Sarah Salerno Thomas of Take A Bow Productions gives some acting direction to some of the cast of “The Singing Ringing Tree” at the Stephentown Memorial Library on Wednesday of last week. Part of the Summer Reading Program Just For Kids, the interactive play was adapted from a fairy tale about the transforming power of love. Maddie Teachout, shown here at left, played the role of the spoiled, mean Spanish princess. The other eleven characters, ranging from panthers to princes to pigs, portrayed by children from the audience, tried everything they could think of to change her attitude and they ultimately succeeded. Sadie Giumarra here is the Singing Ringing Tree and behind her is Stephen Brokalis as the Prince.
