Fall Soccer Registration Is Now Open

August 13, 2009 By eastwickpress

Register now to play Fall soccer with the Hoosick Falls Soccer Club. Online registration for Fall soccer is now open. The registration deadline is September 1 to avoid a late fee so don’t delay!
About The Hoosick Falls REC/In House Soccer Program
The season begins Saturday, September 12, and runs six weeks with games played on Saturday mornings and typically one practice per week. Children in grades k-6 interested in playing can register online at www.hoosickfallssoccer.org.
The Rec/In house program is offered in the spring and fall. Co-ed teams are formed with a balance based on experience, gender and maturity. The basic philosophy of the program is to develop a passion for the game through skill development and sportsmanship. Games are non-result oriented with a focus on having fun (kids first).
The club also offers a TOPS soccer program which is an adaptive program for children with special needs.
Overview Of The Fall Travel Soccer Program
The season begins in early September and runs through October, register online at www.hoosickfallsoccer.org
The Hoosick Falls Soccer Club participates within the Southwestern Vermont Youth Soccer League (SWVTYSL) for the fall season. The SWVTYSL organizes teams by grade level i.e.. fourth, fifth and sixth grade boys and girls.
Participating towns are, but are not limited to, Hoosick Falls, Bennington, Greenwich, Cambridge, Arlington, VT, Manchester, VT, Wilmington, VT, Berlin, West River, VT, and Salem, NY. Games are on Saturdays and there are, on average, seven games per season.
Coaches typically run two practices a week. Teams can have a 14-player roster. Games are played six field players plus a goal keeper. Game times vary, the earliest start time is 11:30 am and the latest is 2:30 pm.
Children in grades 7-12 are encouraged to participate in their local school programs.
