Off-road enthusiasts are invited to participate in a fun and exciting event this weekend, August 21 to 23, to support MentorWorks, the Hoosick area mentoring program.
Participants will check in Friday evening at the Hoosick Falls Youth and Community Center, located at the corner of Church and Center Streets in the Village of Hoosick Falls. Bright and early Saturday morning, trail groups will meet for breakfast (or late sign-ins) from 7 to 9 am and then hit the designated trails at 10 am. Trails will be assigned based on driver experience levels.
After a day of exciting and challenging off-roading, the whole group will meet back at the Youth Center for a BBQ and awards ceremony. Participants in the mentoring program have been invited to attend the BBQ and admire the trucks used on the trails. The BBQ is expected to begin at approximately 5 pm. On Sunday, participants can hit the trails again if they like or head home. A commemortative T-shirt, designed by Michele Dallorso, will be available for sale.
To register, call 203-558-8887 or visit ww.offroad4kids.com. There is a fee per truck to join the fun.
