Being able to get to know your neighbor is just one of the many attributes of the Farmers Market in Hoosick. Artist John Recco and his wife Maria, along with their daughters Gia and Ianna, have made Hoosick their home.
Maria brings an international flair to the market by introducing olive oil grown at her family’s Kontoulis Family Olive Grove in Messinia, Greece. The olive oil is 100% natural olive oil with no additives, preservatives or mixtures of lower grade olive oils. Production is limited, and the health benefits are great. For those of you with a sweet tooth, Maria also brings along her own gourmet baklava.
