Paul C. Brownell

Cambridge – Paul C. Brownell, 95, died Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. He resided on South Park Street in Cambridge, NY, with his wife Edna Viola (Brenenstuhl) Brownell.
Born on April 14, 1914, in Pittstown, NY, Paul was the son of the late Elmer and Sadie (LeBarron) Brownell. He was educated at the Groveside School and was a farmer all of his life. Paul was a member of the Cambridge Senior Citizens and the Johnsonville Methodist Church.
Survivors, other than his wife Viola, include a son, Earl Brownell of Johnsonville, NY, a sister Irene Greene of Center Berlin, NY, a brother, Wesley Brownell of West Hoosick, NY, and a granddaughter, Megan Luskin and her husband Benjamin of Johnsonville. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Paul was pre-deceased by two sisters, Pauline Swart and Jessie Stuart, and a brother, Gordon Brownell.
Graveside services were Tuesday, August 11, at 11 am at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls, NY. There were no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, who are handling the arrangements.
