Petersburgh Rod And Gun Club Gets New Signs In Honor Of Vern Bentley

August 7, 2009 By eastwickpress

Gail Bentley stands to the side as President of the Petersburgh Rod and Gun Club, Randy Jones, and Vern Bentley’s daughter Teri Iwanawicz and granddaughter Gabriel De Filippis show off one of the new signs for the club. Donations in honor of Vern paid for many renovations. Thanks to the donations and the hard work of his family it looks like a new building inside. Teri transposed the club logo (originally drawn by Warren Stevens) onto beautiful signs which will be hung at each end of Scriven Road. The meeting was an emotional one for many. New members are welcome. The club meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm. Photo by Mary Lou Walters.
