Robert R. Kelly

Hoosick Falls – Robert R. Kelly, 70, died Sunday, August 2, 2009, at his residence on Quarry Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. He was the husband of the late Anne T. Kelly, who died on July 4, 2007.
Born on May 10, 1939, in Cambridge, NY, Robert was the son of the late John and Florence (Dumont) Kelly. He was educated at schools in Greenwich, NY. Robert worked at the Flomatic Corporation in Glens Falls, NY, for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to Saratoga Race Track, watching horseracing on television, traveling and food.
Survivors include his stepson, Wayne R. Weeden, stepdaughters, Kathy Lohnes and her husband Terry and Florence Dubois and her husband Dean, all of Hoosick Falls, and stepdaughter, Sandra Pierce and husband Chad of Bennington, VT, sisters, Catherine Bain, Joan Weir and Jean Marie Salley all of Greenwich, Betty Carruthers of South Glens Falls, NY, and Mary Louise Adamson of Schuylerville, NY, brothers, Jimmy Kelly and Eugene Kelly both of Greenwich, Richard Kelly and Gerald Kelly both of Cossayuna, NY, and Bill Kelly of Oakland, CA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Robert is pre-deceased by his wife, Anne, and a brother, Jackie Kelly.
A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, August 5, at 6 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 pm until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund or the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center through the funeral home.
