Adele A. Kwasniak

Hoosick – Adele A. Kwasniak, 83, died quietly and peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones on Sunday, September 13, 2009, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. She had resided on Babcock Lake Road in Hoosick, NY, and was the wife of the late Stanley Kwasniak, who died in 1987.
Born on March 5, 1926, in Ware, MA, Adele was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Bierowitcz) Nowak. She attended schools in Ware. Adele worked at Ware Woolens as a seamstress until she married Stanley in 1947. She then helped on the family farm until she started to raise her children and became a homemaker. She was a past member of the Home Bureau and enjoyed reading, traveling and her pets.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Miller of Pelersburgh, NY, and Dianne Kwasniak of Hoosick Falls, NY, her sons, David Kwasniak and wife Paige of Hoosick Falls and Michael Kwasniak and wife Elizabeth of California, MD. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, September 16, at 7 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hoosick Falls, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad or the Diabetes Foundation through the funeral home.
Her life and spirit will be remembered in the faces of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
