Community Support Keeps Growing For “A Taste Of Hoosick”

September 11, 2009 By eastwickpress

The Hoosick Falls Country Club will play host to “A Taste of Hoosick” on Sunday, September 20, from 4 to 7 pm.   The Country Club provides the ideal venue for the event with its scenic views of the rolling hills of Hoosick.
The timeless jazz music of the Hoosick Falls Central School Jazz Band, under the direction of Bill Brown, will echo through the air as they play from the front deck of the Country Club.  Also volunteering their musical talents for the event are the trio vonSchilgen, Green and Webster.
The event will showcase the fine cuisine of the following area restaurants who quickly stepped up and offered to share their time and talents for those in the community that are less fortunate:  Bianca’s Pizza, Big Moose Deli & Country Store, Carmody’s West, Eagle Bridge Inn, Falls Diner, Guiseppe’s, Half-Time Sports Bar & Grill, Ice Kreme Kafe, Man of Kent Tavern and Cafe, Schoony’s, The Old Firehouse Tavern, Pizza Bella and Potter’s Tavern.  Also participating are Helvi’s Catering, Susan Landry and Lindsey Gardner’s localfoodpros.
Tickets for the event are $15 and are being sold at Baker’s Nursery, Thorpe’s, Upsy Daisy, Town of Hoosick Offices or by committee organizers.  For more information on the event, to participate or to donate an item for the silent auction, please contact Susan Bouplon at 686-7998 or Marilyn Douglas at 686-9707.
Let’s show that continued caring and support that the area is known for, and come and enjoy this celebration of food, music and camaraderie for the benefit of the Food Pantry of the Hoosick Area Church Association.
