The Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center is offering a special event as part of the Tenth Annual Hudson River Valley Ramble in September. Events will take place from Saratoga County and the Capital Region to New York City on the remaining weekends of the Ramble on September 19-20 and September 26-27. The Ramble is sponsored annually by the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area, Hudson River Valley Greenway and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Hudson River Estuary Program,
Enjoy a pleasant two hour excursion on Sunday, September 27, on the placid waters of Dyken Pond with professional guides from Dyken Pond Center., who will tell you about the lake’s ecology and history as you paddle.
Bring a bag lunch and water, personal flotation device and paddle with your own boat. The two mile paddle is rated “Easy.” The event is free with your own boat, and canoe or kayak rentals are available for $10. Pre-registration is required and this event is limited to 15 boats.
