Fall Market Day In Poestenkill

September 4, 2009 By eastwickpress

Poestenkill’s Town Green will be a busy and congenial spot when it hosts the Library’s Fall Market Day on Saturday, September 12, from 9 am to 1 pm.
A tradition for nearly a decade, Market Day is a significant fund-raiser for the Town’s Library and an important semi-annual community event. Each Market Day features a giant book sale for all ages and interests. House plants, perennials and shrubs seek new owners. The aroma of coffee and homemade baked goods attracts customers to the Library porch, and hot dogs and homemade chili appear at lunchtime. Pumpkins and other colorful fresh vegetables and decorative plants fill the Harvest Table. Other tables offer gently used jigsaw puzzles for all degrees of skill, a collection of  “et cetera” items and a raffle featuring three beautiful theme baskets.
Poestenkill’s Town Green and Library are located near the intersection of Routes 351 and 355. The rain date for Fall Market Day is Sunday, September 13.
