HFCS Field Hockey Downs Salem

September 18, 2009 By eastwickpress

by Bea Peterson
HFCS Field Hockey Coach Denise Campbell said her team played well on Wednesday, September 16, in their victory over Salem, 3-0.  “The midfield did a good job of backing up the front line,” she said. “Salem had some quick players, and their goalie made some nice saves.”
She’s  pleased the team is back on its home field. Last year a new drainage system was put in place at one end. A new mower is keeping the grass short. “It’s a nice fast field,” Campbell said. “I’m happy about it; so far so good!” She is keeping her fingers crossed that the field remains in top shape.
