Eleanor Krogh Calhoun of Hoosick Falls was recognized for 40 years of membership in the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) at a ceremony held on September 4 at the Cambridge Hotel.
Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter Regent Carole Dilley presented Mrs. Calhoun with a certificate of appreciation signed by the NSDAR President General Linda Gist Calvin recognizing 40 years of dedicated service to the Society. Mrs. Calhoun first

joined DAR in February 1969 as a member of the former Hoosac-Walloomsac Chapter. After her chapter merged with the Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter she served in many leadership positions including Chapter Chaplain, Vice Regent and Regent.
Mrs. Calhoun is a descendant of Hugh McChesney, who served during the American Revolution in the Albany County Militia under Colonel Philip Schuyler. She and her husband, the late John L. Calhoun, operated a dairy farm in Hoosick Falls for many years.
Any woman who believes she is eligible and would like to attend a meeting may call the Regent at 677-7095 or the Registrar at 677-3324. Eligibility is based on Revolutionary War service of a direct ancestor.
