Kevin C. Smith

Hoosick Falls – Kevin C. Smith, 48, died suddenly on August 26, 2009, at his residence on Carey Avenue in Hoosick Falls, NY. Born in Cambridge, NY, on January 1, 1961, he was the son of Richard Smith of White Creek, NY, and the late Marjorie (Bain) Smith.
Kevin attended schools in Greenwich, NY, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, going to fairs and spending time with his children.
Survivors, other than his father, include three sons, Richard R. Smith of Amsterdam, NY, Christopher J. Smith of Long Island, NY, and Michael J. Smith of Hoosick Falls, two sisters, Kathleen Baldwin of White Creek and Brenda Edick of Arlington, VT, and two brothers, Randy Smith of Greenwich and Bruce Smith of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Kevin is pre-deceased by his mother and a brother, David Smith.
Funeral services were private. Burial took place on Saturday, August 29, at the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Argyle, NY. Arrangements were under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Society through the funeral home.
