Shirley L. Fowler

Hoosick Falls – Shirley L. Parent Fowler, 69, formerly of Grafton, NY, and Wallace Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, died on Monday at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY, after a long illness. She had been a resident of Northwoods at Troy for the past two years.
Born July 27, 1940, in Plattsburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gerald S. and Shirley M. Crooks Parent and the step-daughter of the late Phillip Benway. She was the loving wife of the late Elmer V. Fowler, Sr., who died on February 27, 1992.
Shirley attended Albany schools before getting married and raising her family. She retired many years ago from Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury, VT.
Survivors include her children, Kandy Paddock and Elmer V. Fowler, Jr. both of Hoosick Falls, and Wilson Fowler of Grafton, a brother, Gerald Parent of Troy, grandchildren, Donald Paddock, Christina Lewis and Jason, Justin, Claurissa and Joshua Fowler, her great-grandchildren, Hailey Paddock, Alyxa Lewis and Alyssa and Kristen Fowler. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Tina A. Michaels Morrow, who died on August 31, 2009.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home, 66 Armsby Road, Petersburgh, NY, on Friday, September 18, from 5 to 8 pm for visitation. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
