The Stephentown Republicans will hold a caucus on Thursday, September 10, at the Fire Hall on Grange Hall Road. The purpose is to select candidates for the positions of Town Supervisor (2 years), Town Justice (4 years), two Town Council seats (4 years), Town Clerk (2 years), Highway Superintendent (2 years) and Tax Collector (2 years). Party Chairperson Tammy Madden, hoping for a good turnout of Republican voters, said the caucus this year will be preceded by a social gathering with light refreshments starting at 6 pm. This will give people a chance to sign up to vote in the caucus and also to meet and talk with potential candidates. The caucus itself will start at 7:30 pm.
