The Stephentown Library Needs You!

The Stephentown Memorial Library’s Annual Fall Auction is scheduled for October 10 – and we need your help!  To contribute to this amazing event, please contact Pam Kueppers or Laurenne Teachout at 518-733-5750. Mark your calendar and plan to attend this exciting evening of delicious food and entertainment with an auction with silent and live items.  This is a community event, and we welcome your involvement and your support.  Tickets for the event are on sale now at the Library and at other local businesses.  Online bidding is also available; it began on September 23.  To check out the many great items already listed, visit our website at www.stephentownlibrary.cmarket.com.
The following list of possible items to donate is meant to inspire your generosity… but the sky’s the limit!
• Roller skating, ice skating or sledding party
• Kayaking or canoeing, cycling or hiking for a day (with lesson)
• Paintball or archery for a group
• Lunch or dinner with a celebrity, local or more widely known
• A chauffeur for a day
• Police/Fireman for a day (ride in a vehicle, station tour, wear the gear and photographs)
• Books, CDs, DVDs, perhaps grouped into baskets or tote bags with a theme
• Tour of a local factory, newspaper, radio/TV station or sporting arena
• The latest computer or entertainment system and installation
• Super Bowl party or barbecue or picnic for a group in your home or backyard
• A new or used car, motorcycle, ATV, truck, bicycle, moped, etc.
• Antique items
• Car washing, waxing or repairs
• Restaurant gift certificates
• Homemade items, canned goods, maple syrup
• Theme dinner for 6 or 8 at your home or business
•Pet boarding or pet sitting while on vacation, dog grooming, dog training
• House cleaning or organizing
• Home repairs or handyman services, plumbing services, drywall repair or insulation installation
• Lawn and garden care or snow plowing
• Truck load of gravel or driveway regrading
• Haircuts or other beauty treatments
• Fresh eggs or meat
• A pie or other home cooked item a month for a year, birthday or special occasion cake or five dozen Christmas cookies
• Calligraphy service or hand addressed invitations/cards, personal secretary to help with paperwork, forms, etc.
• Christmas tree or wreaths
• Birthday parties for children or baby-sitting services
• Getaway to your family/friends cottage, condo, hunting lodge or ski chalet
• Firewood or other fuel
• Furniture or appliances
• Swing set assembly or tree house building
• Those many unwanted and still boxed gift items you have filling closets and attics
• Interesting birdhouse or mailbox made by local artisan
• Laundry service for a week or once a month

• Live music for your next party or event
