HFCS Girls Soccer Beats Hoosic Valley

A steady rain fell during the second half of the HFCS girls soccer game on Monday, September 28. Senior captain Julie Luciano (#5) had two assists against Hoosic Valley. The game was 3-1 in the first half. The final score was 7-1. Hoosic Valley is the only WASAREN league team to score against HF this year. Their one goal, by Mollie Gilchrist, came midway through the first half. Two HF first half goals were scored by sophomore Meg McKee, the third, a penalty shot, was scored by senior captain Meg McEachron. Second half goals were scored by freshman Gracy Delurey and junior Deanna Dubois. Dubois also had an assist. Senior captain Becca LaPorte had two goals and an assist.

Hoosic Valley’s Ashley Bevis had seven saves. HF goalkeeper senior captain Kelsy Rogers had four saves. HF is 7-0 in league play, 8-1 overall.
On Wednesday HF will play at Cambridge and on Friday HF will play Schuylerville at home. That is the game everyone has been waiting for as both teams are having great seasons.
