Jean L. Wilson

Hoosick Falls – Jean L. Decker Wilson, 79, formerly of River Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, died on Saturday morning, September 26, 2009, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center where she has resided since 2003.
Born in Dalton, MA, on February 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ethel Maynard Decker. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Edward M. Wilson, who died on March 29, 1999. Jean was educated in Massachusetts schools and moved to Hoosick Falls in 1950. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United (Presbyterian) Church in Hoosick Falls.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Bonnie E. Welch of Hoosick Falls, and a sister, Betty Perry of Cohoes, NY, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by siblings, Marjorie Bierwirth, Harry Decker and Harold Decker.
Funeral services are on Thursday at 2 pm in the First United Church (Presbyterian), 130 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, where Rev. Donna Elia is to officiate. Burial follows in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends were invited to the Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home, 72 Main Street, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm for visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad or the charity of one’s choice in loving memory of Jean L. Wilson.
