Lebanon Valley Historical Society Program

October 16, 2009 By eastwickpress

The Lebanon Valley Historical Society will conduct its final program for 2009 with a presentation by Ann-Eliza Lewis, Executive Director of the Columbia County Historical Society, on Monday, October 19, at 7 pm at the Samson Environmental Center on the Darrow School campus. The presentation is entitled “Common Threads – A Conversation with CCHS.”
The program is free, and light refreshments will be served.  On exhibit will be the quilt commissioned by CCHS for the Hudson Quadricentennial commemoration.  Squares for this quilt were made by artisans from the various historical societies and townships across Columbia County (our own Lore Squier produced one to represent Lebanon Valley History).  Dr. Lewis will present an update on current and future CCHS programs and participate in discussion of how CCHS can aid local societies.
The LVHS Board of Directors has begun planning for the 2010 programs.  Anyone with ideas for program topics or presenters can contact LVHS Secretary Doug Banker at 518-794-9764.
