Mary E. O’Dell

Hoosick Falls – Mary E. O’Dell, 61, died Thursday, September 24, 2009, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center where she has resided since August. She had resided on Elm Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, with her husband Robert O’Dell Sr.
Born on August 24, 1948, in Hoosick Falls, Mary was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mildred (Moon) Trombley Sr. She graduated from Cambridge Central School and worked at the Morning Star Day Care Program at the Cornerstone Fellowship Church. Mary enjoyed her dog, cats, gardening, the outdoors and especially time she spent with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors, other than her husband Robert, include her daughter, Brenda Russell and husband Richard of Buskirk, NY, sons, Robert O’Dell Jr. and Kenneth O’Dell and wife Hope, all of Hoosick Falls, a sister, Arlene Guerard and husband Bernie of Hoosick Falls, a brother, Alfred Trombley Jr. of White Creek, NY, and grandchildren, Kirsten and Richard Russell Jr. of Buskirk. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Funeral services were Tuesday, September 29, at 12 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the service at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund or the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
