New Lebanon Library Events

• Tales for Tots Story Hour on Wednesdays at 10:30 am includes crafts, songs and movement activities.
• Family Movie Night on Fridays, October 9 and 23, at 7 pm offers a free showing of a current film for the whole family. Call for title; popcorn provided.
• The New Lebanon Book Group meets Thursday, October 15, at 7 pm. The discussion is on People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.
• Preschool Pajama Party – Friday, October 16, 6:30 pm, with Halloween stories, a witchy movie and Halloween treats. BYO PJs and blankie.

• Poetry Group – Monday, October 19, at 6 pm. Poets of all ages are invited to share their work.

• Author Reading – October 22 at 7 pm. Joanna Greenfield will read from her new book The Lion’s Eye: Seeing in the Wild – light refreshments.

• Chess Instruction for Kids – Saturday, October 24, at 10 am.Chess players at all levels are welcome.

• Halloween Storytelling: Spooky New York – Thursday, October 29, at 7 pm. Strange and ghostly tales of the Hudson Valley told by Eileen Stelljes, who will perform in 18th century attire by candlelight – ages 7 to adult.

• Halloween Bingo for Kids – Friday, October 30, at 2 pm. Halloween celebration with cookies, juice and spooky prizes! – ages 5 to12.

• Games Night for Teens and Tweens – Tuesday, October 27, at 6 pm. Nintendo Wii, Rock Band 2 Wii Sports, DDR and more. Participants may bring their own games – pizza provided!

All are welcome to these events. For further information on any of these programs, please call the New Lebanon Library at 518-794-8844.  The library is located at 550 State Route 20, 1/4 mile north of the yellow blinking light at the intersection of Routes 20/22.
