Fifty-one runners participated in the Pumpkinpalooza 5k Race that started and ended at Wood Park on Saturday, October 26. The race was the first event of a day filled with family activities. The weather was perfect, pleasantly cool, sunny, with a little breeze.
The race was sponsored by WCW and conducted by ARE Event Productions. Runners had chips placed on their shoes that indicated their times when they crossed the finish line. The route took the runners down John St. to Mechanic St. to River Rd, River St. to Fifth to Willow to First, back to River St., onto Church to the end and back onto Main St. to the Park.
