Stephentown Heavenly Quilters Raffle Off Underground Railroad Quilt Sampler

Roof Fund of the Federated Church of Stephentown.  Other organizations receiving funds from the various raffle quilts the quilters have made are “To Life” (Breast Cancer Awareness), The Stephentown Fire Dept., the handicapped bathroom fund for the Federated Church and the Elizabeth Freeman Center. The quilting group meets in the parlors of the Church every Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 am and works on various charity projects throughout the year. Thus far this year, they have donated over 100 “cuddle” quilts to the Elizabeth Freeman Center in Pittsfield, MA, and also to the Children and Family Center on West Street in Pittsfield.
