Stephentown Veterans Day Parade

The Veterans of the Stephentown Area will be holding their sixth annual Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 7, at 11 am from the Veterans Memorial Park in Stephentown.  The theme for this year’s parade is “Patriotism.”  Cash prizes for floats will be awarded as follows:  First prize – $50, Second prize – $35 and Third prize – $15.  A ceremony honoring our veterans will begin at the Veterans Memorial Park at 10:30 am.  The parade begins at 11 am followed by a chicken and pork dinner served in the Fire Hall.  Ticket prices are $10 per person and will be sold at the door.  Take-outs are available.
During the afternoon a flag burning ceremony will be held to dispose of all US flags that are worn or damaged.  You are welcome to being your flags and take part in this ceremony.
