After A Week At Myrtle Beach

November 6, 2009 By eastwickpress

Stephentown Seniors returned home Sunday evening, October 24, following a week at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. All agreed it was a memorable trip filled with laughter and good times. The weather was perfect, warm enough even to take a dip in the ocean. Shows at night included great impersonation acts (Elvis, Cher, The Blues Brothers, Alan Jackson, Barry White), wonderful dancing and music at the Carolina Opry and the Alabama Theater, the wacky humor of Ricky Mokel and the incredible Dixie Stampede dinner show. A tour through Brookgreen Gardens got the seniors not only glimpses of some good sized gators but also the opportunity to view an amazing collection of American sculpture art not to be found anywhere else. The Stephentown Seniors are grateful to Tour Director Cathy Lawless and Bus Driver Doug Griffin for a well planned, superb excursion, and to the Town of Stephentown for their support.
