On Friday, October 23, the school hosted Dr. Delano, who spoke on the topic of “Astrobiology and the Search for Life.” He is a Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences and a member of the NASA Astrobiology Institute Program.
Dr. Delano met with a group of about 50 parents, students and teachers. He joined the group for dinner and then followed with a lecture on astrobiology. The weather did not permit the group to view the moon and stars, but they were able to see examples in the form of a power point presentation.
