Brunswick Wal-Mart Visits Berlin Elementary

November 13, 2009 By eastwickpress

On Friday, October 9, Berlin Elementary School (BES) was excited by their visit from employees of the Brunswick Wal-Mart. Theresa Benaquista (Manager), Nick Burdick (Assistant Manager and former BES student), and Marianne Hall (BES parent and Claims Supervisor) handed out ten $100 gift cards and a Swine Flu supply basket. This year Wal-Mart decided to not do one Teacher of the Year Award and to replace it with Teacher Rewards. Associates of Wal-Mart nominated schools, and the school with the most votes among the associates won the ten gift cards. Winners were chosen by pulling names from a basket.  Justin and Trevar Hall, students at BES, helped their mom by passing the basket around and passing out the gift cards.
The winners of the ten gift cards were Katie Bryce, Pat DiPierro, Michelle Springer, Lorrie Estabrooks, Judy Myers, Karyn Healy, Annette Bell, Deanna Quandt, Kasey Flanigan and Dan Dobbins.  Jane Halleck won the Swine flu supply basket.
BES is extremely honored to have been chosen to receive this award. Thank you Wal-Mart!
