Critters And Characters Roamed Hoosick Falls

Friday evening Wood Park was filled with unbelievably imaginative little folks and big folks in costumes to take part in the annual Hoosick Halloween Parade.

Things, critters, characters and creatures wandered through the Park brightly illuminated by lights from Hoosick Falls fire trucks. After a walk through the Village, participants returned to the Park for refreshments and the awarding of prizes. Members of the HFCS National Honor Society, with advisor Isabel McGuire, served as judges again this year. Halloween parade winners by category were: Scariest – Hunter Thompson (Stapled Grim Reaper), Jaylen Jones (Skeleton Zombie), Issac Smith (Dracula), Shane Richard (Joker) and Jordan Shorts (Punkrock Skeleton). Most Original – Aleah Stowell (Cookie Sheet), Ashley Foster & Liz Ryan (Spider & Web), Ava Case (Hot Air Balloon), Stephine Stowell (Popcorn) and Fallen Parker (Jelly Bean). Funniest – Alex DiDonato & Ben Adrion (Ghostbusters), Anna Brewer (Bear in tutu), Deven Fitzpatrick (Gangster), Hayden Smith (Ice Cream Man) and Kayla Schnoop (Fat Ninja). Cutest – Jessie Mae Casey(Bunny), Peyton Daily (Chicken), Emmelia Loock (Rubber Duckey), Sophie Hayes (Eeyore) and Jackson Bedford (Lion).
