HFCS Field Hockey Team Wins Sectional Championship

Karley Morin, jumping, is congratulated by teammates after she scored the winning goal in a 1-0, double overtime victory over visiting Emma Willard last Saturday at HFCS. This was the team’s first sectional game of 2009. With this win, Hoosick Falls moved on to play Schuylerville at Knox Junior High School in Johnstown on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the Panthers also won a close one, 1-0. Melody Mentiply had the lone goal with an assist by Maeghan Douglass. Photo by Steve Bradley.
