LHWA Inspection

November 6, 2009 By eastwickpress

Members of the Little Hoosic Watershed Association spent an afternoon recently with Eric Swanson of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. They inspected some of the structures in the river and visited some of the sections of the river where there has recently been extensive erosion.

Bill Craib, Eric Swanson and Carl Greene inspect a section of the river north of the Transfer Station. The already severe erosion of the riverbank was exacerbated by the heavy rains this year, and several rows of corn planted some distance from the bank edge last spring were lost.
