Officials from the Rensselaer County Board of Elections came out to Petersburgh on Thursday, November 5, re-counted the votes in the close race between Amy Manchester and Teresa Scicchitano-deWaal and determined that Amy Manchester had been re-elected to her seat on the Petersburgh Town Board. The Board of Elections, according to Democratic Chairman Neil Manchester, has not released a final tally of the vote as of Wednesday night because they have not yet opened and tabulated the absentee ballots, but they declared Amy Manchester the winner immediately because after the machine votes and the election day paper ballots were counted, she was ahead by more votes than the total number of absentee ballots.
