HFCS Bowlers Bring Home 3-1 Victory Against Hoosic Valley

December 18, 2009 By eastwickpress

On Thursday, December 10, the Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Hoosic Valley by the score of 3-1. Total pins for Hoosick Falls was a season high 3,761; Hoosic Valley had 3,495. Hoosick Falls now has a record of 15-1 and Hoosic Valley is 14-6.
Top bowlers for Hoosic Valley were Ken Phillips with a 237-661 and Justin Meddis with a 220-617. Hoosick Falls’ top scores were Jake Colliano 257-684, Chris Pelletier 250-655, Bryan Callahan 225-627, Joe Wolfrum 225-620, James Lynch 205-594, and Mitchell Andrew 218-581.
“Again we had some nice JV scores,” said Coach Bob Lang. Mikaela Marbot 253-662, Cody LaFlamme 212-575, Peter O’Neil 209-563, and Josh Conn 213-542. “We got out to a great start with our season high single game total of 1,353 to win the first game but then lost the second game by 49 pins. We were losing the last game going into the eighth frame and then the kids bowled well and got the win by 54 pins. It was a good win on away lanes which were the driest that we have bowled on this year. The team made some great adjustments to come up with some great scores.
“We have two home matches next week against Southern Division opponents; Granville on Tuesday and Schuylerville on Thursday. I hope the team keeps bowling at home as we have on the road this past week.” said Coach Lang.
