“The team is off to a great start. The kids were very patient during the match as the team totals were back and forth until we bowled good during the last three frames in each game. They also made the right adjustments during the match as the lanes changed. It was another great team effort, and I am very proud of how well this team has come together,” said Coach Lang.
On Monday, December 21, the Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Fort Edward by the score of 3-1 in a very closely contested match with some great scoring. Hoosick Falls, the best team in the Southern Division, has a record of 26-2, and Fort Edward, the best team in the Northern Division, has a record of 24-8. Top bowlers for Fort Edward were Tanner Flores with a great 300 game and 668 triple and Demetrick Rawlins with a 234-659. “This was a very close match with some great scores bowled by both teams. After us winning the first game by 24 pins, Fort Edward came back to win the second game by 68 pins behind the great 300 game by Tanner Flores. We then came back with our best game of the day winning the last game by 149 pins behind a great game of 277 by Joe Wolfrum. We are a very young team, and we will be a team to contend with for many years,” said Coach Lang.
