Patricia B. Alcombright

Bennington – Patricia B. Alcombright, 59, a resident of Union Street, Bennington, VT, died peacefully December 14 , 2009, at  the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born in Bennington on May 19, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Robert I. Littlefield and Beulah Bea (Buffum) Littlefield Cottrell, who survives. Pat grew up in Bennington where she attended local schools. In earlier years she had been employed at Tansitor Electronics, Ben Mont Corporation, C.B. Sports and National Hanger. ob-alcombrightFollowing the birth of her children she decided to leave the work force and become a stay at home mom caring for her four children. Pat loved to go shopping. She also enjoyed camping with her family, visiting amusement parks, especially the roller coasters, watching movies and making string art creations.
She leaves her mother Beulah Cottrell of North Bennington, VT, her husband, Raymond Alcombright of Adams, MA, her son, TSGT Peter Roy Jr. and wife Andrea of the USAF stationed in Spangdahlem, Germany, her daughters, Melissa Heshmaty and husband K.T. of Schenectady, NY, and Tammie Lampman and husband Michael of Stamford, VT, her sisters, Sharon and husband Fred Schmigel of Buskirk, NY, Gloria Littlefield and Randy Moore of Wilmington, VT, Connie Felion and husband David of Hoosick Falls, NY, Robin Kennedy and husband Patrick of Bennington, and Donna Cameron of Adams,  her grandson, LCPL Mark Chaplin USMC stationed in Camp Lejune, NC, her granddaughters, Tara Moulton, Alicia Ramsarran and Megan Harrington, all of Schenectady, and Viktoria Roy of Irrel, Germany, her great-granddaughter, Arianna Ramsarran, her niece and caregiver Kelly Littlefield, and her partner, Anna Wahl, who provided Pat with love and support in good times and bad during her long illness for which the family is grateful. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was pre-deceased by her first husband, William A. Cone Sr., and son, William A. Cone Jr.
Funeral services are at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home on Friday, December 18, at 11 am with Reverend Matthew Bowles, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Shaftsbury and Bennington officiating. During the service Heather Look will be singing “Wind Beneath My Wings” and Megan Harrington will be reciting a personalized poem. Burial will follow in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm, when the family will be present.
