Paul William Briggs Sr.

West Lebanon –  Paul William Briggs Sr., 54, unexpectedly passed away, with his wife and their six children by his side, on Friday, November 27, 2009, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, after being stricken at his home in West Lebanon, NY, on Thanksgiving Day.
Paul was born in Adams, MA, on March 24, 1955. He married Laurie Chapman of Pittsfield, MA, on January 13, 1979, and they resided there for 32 years. They had just moved to West Lebanon this past month.
Paul was employed with the Berkshire Eagle for 34 years. He was a dedicated and devoted husband and father. Paul leaves behind his wife, Laurie Briggs, their children, James, Kristie, Karrie, Paulie, Lauralee and Melindalee, and ten grandchildren, Kevin, Jordan, Kyle, Michael, Zachary S., Paulie III, Haley, Zachary B., Cameron and Shianne.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday in the Cemetery of the Evergreens in Lebanon Springs, NY, where Rev. Trygve Tomlinson officiated and Rev. Alan Wolcott was the soloist.
In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to Laurie Briggs in care of Hall and Higgins Funeral Home, P.O. Box 9, Stephentown, NY, 12168, for purchase of a memorial monument.
