January 29, 2010 By eastwickpress

Local Boy Scout Troop #222 spent hours rock climbing, exploring the caves and riding the zip line at the Albany Indoor Rock Gym last week. This weekend the Scouts go to Camp Rotary to compete in the Klondike Derby which is a fun competition testing their skills in winter survival, snowshoeing and sled racing.  Troop #222 serves boys from the Petersburgh, Berlin, Grafton, Stephentown and Hoosick Falls areas who are ages 11 through 17. The Scouts meet most Monday evenings from 6 to 8 pm at PVMCC in Petersburgh.  The next meeting is February 9.  Boys interested in becoming Scouts are encouraged to contact Joe Burdick at 733-6975 or Chuck Riccardi at 733-9855.
