Christopher D. King

Hoosick Falls – Christopher D. King, 58, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. He resided on Fog Hill Road in Hoosick Falls, NY.
Born on May 22, 1951, in Potsdam, NY, Christopher was the son of the late Dale and Clara (LaPlante) King. He was formerly employed at Taconic in Petersburgh, NY. Christopher was an avid collector of model airplanes, a roadie of the band Vivid, liked to target shoot and enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren and his cat “Boots.”
Survivors include his daughters, Jodi Allen and LeRoy Oldham of Shaftsbury, VT, and Michelle and Joseph Thompson of Grafton, NY, his son, Michael King and Christine Ryan of Hoosick Falls, his sisters, Donna Taylor of Webster, NY, and Judy and Ken Stevenson of Wolcott, NY, and his best friend, Mary Ortiz of Sand Creek, NY. Christopher is also survived by twelve grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is pre-deceased by a brother, Joseph.
Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, on Friday, January 8, from 2 to 4 pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Renal Dialysis Department at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center through the funeral home.
