Hoosick Falls – Edna M. Blankenbiller, 86, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at the Danforth Adult Home in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was the wife of the late Jerome Blankenbiller and formerly resided in Cambridge, NY.
Born on March 24, 1923, in Fleetwood, PA, Edna was the daughter of the late Hamen and Annie Brown. She attended schools in Pennsylvania and was a homemaker all of her life. Edna enjoyed music, dancing, telling jokes and was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses in Cambridge. She was loved by her family, and they will see her in paradise.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Hollo and husband Ted of Cambridge, her sister, Mary Ellen Barto of Fleetwood, PA, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Edna is pre-deceased by a son, Donald Blankenbiller, a sister, Helen Morrison, and brothers Charles, Paul and Earl Brown.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses of Cambridge, through the funeral home.
