Harold J. Arcouet

Stephentown – Harold J. Arcouet, retired Dunlop Tire Treasurer, died December 11, 2009, in his Arizona home.  He was 73.  Born in New York City to the late Henry and Helen Kregler Arcouet, he was a 1953 graduate of New Lebanon High School. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, he graduated from St. Michaels’s College in Vermont. In 1968 he moved to Grand Island, NY. After retirement he enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan and husband Randon Hillock of Arizona and Shelley and husband Robert Smith of Illinois, and two sons, Harold Jr. of Arizona and Jeffrey of New York.  He adored his five grandchildren, Amy and Kathryn Hillock and Thomas, Michael and Jacob Smith. He is also survived by his sister, Veronica (Ronnie) Demick of Stephentown, NY, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife Patricia.
Funeral services will be held in Buffalo, NY, at the convenience of the family.  Remembrances may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ, 85014.
