“We didn’t bowl that well but everyone contributed to the win. We struggled with the lane conditions right from the start of the match, but the kids were patient and kept trying different lines to bowl some good games. We need to stay focused because we have a big week coming up against three southern division opponents which will determine who will eventually win the division,” said Coach Lang.
First Loss

“All the games were close. We didn’t make our spares as we have all season long. We need to come back in some important home matches on Tuesday and Thursday to keep us in contention for the division title. I know the team will be happy to bowl on their home lanes,” said Coach Lang.
On Tuesday, January 12, the Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Hoosic Valley by the score of 4-0. Hoosick Falls had their highest match total of the season with a 3,824, and Hoosic Valley had a total pin count of 3,151. Hoosick Falls now has a record of 37-7 and Hoosic Valley is now 27-17. Top JV bowlers were Mikaela Marbot 210-571, James Lynch 189-555 and Peter O’Neil 182-508.
“This was a big win after we had that loss to Granville only one day earlier. We came back today with our best scoring of the season. It was just what we needed to get back on track and keep in the running for the division title. It was a great team effort with all the varsity members bowling 600 or better. I hope we can bowl this well again at home on Thursday against Stillwater,” said Coach Lang.
