Jackson Burhans Joins The Opera Theatre Of Weston

January 15, 2010 By eastwickpress

Jackson Burhans, a student at Berlin Middle School, auditioned for a part in the opera The Little Prince put on by the Opera Theatre of Weston. He was selected for the children’s chorus. Jackson has had the opportunity to rehearse with professional actors and opera singers. He has experienced working under the direction of seasoned stage and musical directors. This was his first chance to learn choreographed moves, stagecraft and acting. Having a previously limited exposure to opera has made the past ten months fly by, filled with new experiences and adventures. O.T.W. is running seven daytime performances of the opera for area schools in Vermont and three full performances on weekends. Saturday the 16th at 4 pm and Sunday the 17th at 2 pm will be the last shows at the Weston Playhouse. For more information or tickets, contact the OTW at 802-824-3821.
